Internet Status/Passwords and Information
PPRVP Information for connecting via WiFi to the Internet
--Latest Networking Status Report link (click here)--
There are five (5) access points available to the residents of PPRVP: PPRVP 1 (clubhouse) is on 2.4 GHz. (lower speed, longer distance), and PPRVP 10 (Lot 42), PPRVP 11 (Lot 36), PPRVP 12 (Lot 76) and
PPRVP 13 (Lot 61) are on 5 GHz. (higher speed, shorter distance).
These access points provide shared connections to the 500 mbps internet service that is available in the clubhouse and delivers it to various locations around the park, where its residents (owners and renters) may connect their devices using WiFi.
Please be mindful that this 500 mbps internet service is delivered to the clubhouse and is used to support the telephone line and cameras at our front gate entry point and is shared between the residents of potentially up to 81 RV lots.
It is provided completely free of charge.
As a basic service, access to the internet through this system is primarily intended for “casual” email and low bandwidth general web browsing. There is absolutely no guarantee that high-bandwidth premium services such as HD video streaming of TV shows and movies, audio/video conferencing, or internet gaming will work well through these park-provided access points.
Therefore, to provide the most throughput for our residents, we kindly ask you NOT to try and utilize high speed premium services through the 2.4 GHz. access point at the clubhouse (PPRVP 1), and if you must use the clubhouse network for this, to limit your use of these services through only the 5 GHz. access points in the outlying areas of the park (PPRVP 10, 11, 12 and 13).
If you require having guaranteed access to high speed premium services, PPRVP has a "bulk internet” service agreement with Spectrum Cable that will provide a direct residential 500 mbps internet cable connection to the residence on your lot which also offers WiFi service that is superior to what we have available from the park-provided access points.
Our residents (owners and renters) are already paying to have this service directly from Spectrum in their COA fees and leases, so there is no real reason not to take advantage of it unless your stay in the park will be extremely short (less than one month). The number to call to order this service or report trouble with it is 833-697-7328 (Spectrum Community Solutions).
Follow the voice prompts.
To receive the password for using the park-provided access points, please see a COA director
or someone on our volunteer WiFi and Networking committee.
PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THE PARK WIFI PASSWORD WITH ANYONE FROM OUTSIDE THE PARK, INCLUDING YOUR GUESTS.
Rather, if you have a guest who needs to connect via WiFi to one of the park-provided access points, please put the password in their device for them rather than tell them what it is or write it down for them. PPRVP needs every bit of clubhouse bandwidth that it has and the community can't afford to have the neighbors
around the outside perimeter of the park connecting to our access points.
Thank you for your cooperation!
